Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Overview
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a UK government initiative aimed at improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and addressing fuel poverty.
Under this scheme, medium and large energy suppliers cover the cost of installing energy-saving improvements in homes across Britain. Each obligated energy provider is assigned targets based on their market share in the UK. These suppliers work with approved installers to implement measures such as boiler replacements, underfloor insulation, and more.
What is the ECO4 Scheme?
ECO4 is the latest phase of the UK government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) program, focused on improving home energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and tackling fuel poverty. Under this scheme, energy suppliers are required to fund and facilitate energy-saving upgrades for domestic properties.
